How contactless auto repair works

Fastbay Automotive is a contactless auto repair shop at 315 Brown Rd, Pendleton, SC 29670. We help with diagnostics, brakes, A/C service, and breakdown help. Call (864) 332-7145 Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–7:00 PM.

We do not take body, paint, or collision work; heavy jobs; heavy-duty/big trucks; heavily modified vehicles; or cars older than 25 years. Questions? Call (864) 332-7145.

Use the tablet intake and Key Drop Box any time of day. The CAT bus is across the street and, when running, arrives at :30 past the hour.

1. Check in on the tablet, accept the drop-off authorization, and drop keys in the Key Drop Box. Leaving the car is your signature and authorizes a test drive.

2. We inspect and photograph the car.

3. You get an estimate email with videos of the job. Tap Approve or Deny.

4. Approve = we order parts. Deny = we do not order parts.

5. When the car is ready you pay online.

6. You get a 6-digit code for the upper or lower lockbox only after payment is verified. Enter the code, press UNLOCK, numbers turn blue, take keys, close the box.

PICKUP RULES

1. No key code until Fastbay sees the paid email from Clover, Stripe, or the bank. Saying you paid is not enough.

2. Code is for the upper or lower box named in your email. The other box will not open.

3. Enter the code, press UNLOCK, wait for blue, take keys, close the box so it latches. Do not leave it hanging open.

4. Lockbox pickup is our normal handoff any time of day. Only the owner or the person named on the drop-off may use the box. Do not send someone else. Do not bang on the shop door.

5. If a part was special order, you already tapped that you would wait. The car is not ready until that part is on and the invoice is paid.

6. One code, one pickup. If the box does not open, text or email the shop. Do not try extra codes.

7. Keys left after 2 days of the code being issued get pulled inside so the two lockboxes stay free. Call to arrange a daytime handoff from inside the shop.

8. Only the owner, or the person who dropped the car off, uses the lockbox. If anyone else is picking up, the owner must call Fastbay during shop hours and name that person. We will not treat a stranger at the box after dark as authorized.
